About
Jedediah Johnson is an artist and educator based in Indianapolis, Indiana. He received his BFA in Photography with distinction from the Art Center College of Design in 2009 and his MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2013. Working primarily in portraiture, Johnson’s practice centers on body positivity and representation, using experimental lighting and photographic processes to challenge narrow cultural standards of beauty. His work has been exhibited widely throughout the Midwest and internationally. Johnson has taught photography at the Indianapolis Art Center since 2015 and
at the Herron School of Art and Design at Indiana University–Indianapolis since 2025.
